School Uniform Guidelines

Two senior students modelling the school uniform

Balgowlah Boys’ Campus is a school in which the wearing of school uniform has the endorsement of our school community because of the positive effect it has on the school image and personal morale.

When students enrol at our school they undertake to wear full school uniform.

The requirements to wear full school uniform is endorsed by the 1996 NSW Public School Discipline Policy which requires of students “adherence to the standards of dress determined by the school community.”

Variation of Uniform

Where a student cannot wear any part of the regulation school uniform, a note from a parent/caregiver indicating the reason should be presented to the Deputy Principal before school on that day.

An Out of Uniform pass will be issued and should be produced on request of a teacher

Failure to provide a note will result in boys receiving a ½ hour after school detention. They must report to the Principal, Deputy Principal Welfare or Deputy Principal Curriculum on the following day in full school uniform and present the uniform infringement note signed by their parent/carer.

Special cases should be referred to the Principal.
