The library is a spacious, well cared for learning environment. The library is designed to be a peaceful place that students can learn both independently, in small groups or in classes with a teacher.

The library supports the school curricular activities through the use of technology and print material.

Print section

The school library has many different types of books in it:
Ribit section contains over 1000 high impact books, which appeal to reluctant readers. They are divided into about 15 genres.
Fiction, there is well over 1000 fiction books to be found in the library.
Non-fiction, There is a great selection of non-fiction books in the library. There are over 2000 books.
The library also has a periodicals section, references section, encyclopaedias, atlases, dictionaries and daily newspapers and found here.


Technology

The Library has a network of twelve computers for student usage that are connect in a LAN network.
The library has two enquiry terminals for student usage two find books, etc.
You can access the library enquiry through any of the schools computers.
The library has both a photocopier with a card reader.
The library also has a room, which has DVD and video technology, enabling students to learn from the newest technology available.

The staff AV workroom has first been updated to allow library staff to record appropriate support material.
A huge collection of videos is available for classroom use.
Video filming, digital photographing and editing facilities are also available for use.
Students are welcome to book computers for personal use at recess, lunchtime, download and print their work, book the conference room for a meeting, play chess, browse and read for fun, meet with their friends and borrow from our collections.

Opening hours

The school library is open from 8.30am to 3.20pm daily.
