Mathematics
The teachers in the Maths staff room are very enthusiastic to help any students who have any problems. Tutorial support is offered to all students Tuesday and Friday at lunch, and also Thursday morning at 8-9am to solve any individual mathematical problems.
Year 7 - 8
Student’s class work is complemented with activities from a “homework book”. Teaching emphasis is on “connections to real life” with hands on activities and computer laboratory work. Assignments are part of our assessment and here students are given choices.
Extensions
Year 7 & 8 have a Byte Class for extension students and each week for the whole school a “Problem of the Week is posed Tuesday Lunchtime.
Our students are entered in the Australian Mathematics Competition where we consistently gain distinctions and credit awards.

Year 9 - 10
Students are split into advanced, intermediate and standard levels for work to obtain their School Certificate and prepare for appropriate levels in senior school. Connections, activities and computer work continue.
