 An engaging, practical and student-centred fieldwork program has been established to meet syllabus requirements and also to reinforce the concepts covered in junior and senior Geography courses.

 Fieldtrips this year have been to;

  • Ingleside (Years 7-8)
  • Sydney Harbour and Terrigal (Year 9)
  • Longreef (Year 10)
  • Botany Wetlands and Warragamba Dam (Year 11)
  • Pyrmont and Blue Mountains (Year 12)
  • ‘Geocacheing’ (the competitive team based use of GPS systems) and Clean-Up Australia have provided alternative fieldwork activities around the school grounds (Years 7-8).

 

Excursions have also been organized in our other key subject areas to provide relevant and interesting case studies for students studying Commerce, Business Studies and Economics. These excursions have been to Port Kembla Steelworks and the Reserve Bank.
